Mirial Softphone 6.0 - Your private HD video conferencing lounge

The advanced software client for visual communication by Mirial now available with multi-party support and call management features

Milan, March 27, 2008 - Mirial today released the new version of its Mirial Softphone for professional video conferencing, including a set of useful, eagerly anticipated new features.

Besides the first-in-class support for both SD and HD 720p video resolution, available since June 2007, new release number 6.0 introduces H.239, call management and embedded MCU functionalities that enable unprecedented possibilities for small to mid-sized business environments.
Mirial Softphone users can now set up 3-party video conferencing sessions and transfer or hold active video calls without any external MCU or H323-to-SIP gateway: moreover, all video conferencing sessions can be recorded in real time and exported to a WMV file simply by clicking on a button, to be archived or played back whenever needed.

"Visual communication within average enterprise environments usually take place in the form of two-to-three-party learning sessions, remote presentations and conversations with prospects, customers and partners; acting as an entry-level multiconferencing unit, Mirial Softphone 6.0 fits the ordinary video conferencing demand of a large segment of companies, which would otherwise need - and probably wouldn't invest in - additional infrastructure elements and hardware endpoints" said Cristoforo Mione, VP of Business Development at Mirial. "Mirial Softphone is a valid and cost-effective alternative to such devices, as well as to physical business meetings, web-based solutions and conferencing rooms rental, thus it truly represents an incentive for smaller companies to enjoy video conferencing and catch new business opportunities, while being an easy-to-use solution for larger ones to cut travel costs, enhance collaborative tasks and maximize productivity".

A 30-day evaluation version of Mirial Softphone can be downloaded from the Mirial website.
