Education Service Center Region 13 chooses Mirial to deliver distance learning programs to rural school districts
Milan, March 23, 2011 - Education Service Center Region XIII, one of twenty service centers that serve the Texas educational needs, chose Mirial ClearSea to complement their video conferencing infrastructure.ClearSea provides a state-of-the-art Mac and PC Full-HD desktop video client and brand new mobile client for Android devices and iOS with the ability to seamlessly connect any standards-based SIP/H.323 device.
With the ultimate goal of assisting the schools to provide quality products/services that improve student performance, Region 13 is constantly looking for affordable but performing technology to advance their mission in order to overcome common issues such as limited broadband internet access and limited funds to acquire video conferencing equipment.
"ClearSea from Mirial was the answer to our needs" said Carol Teitelman, Coordinator- Distance Learning Programs at Region 13. "As ClearSea efficiently delivers HD quality video over limited bandwidth using common webcams and can easily connect to any existing H.323 video conferencing system, Region 13 is now able to offer a vast array of new programs to their rural school districts affordably."
The project was supervised by Visionality, a partner of Mirial providing customized video communications solutions to the education market.
"Region 13 has been a longtime client of ours", said Bill Barnett, VP of Sales for Visionality, "and we support a great number of distance learning classrooms in their urban and suburban school districts with equipment from the major video conferencing equipment suppliers. But we couldn't find a good solution for their rural schools until we began selling ClearSea from Mirial."
"Being a turn-key solution, easy to test and deploy, ClearSea is the perfect fit for educational organizations that don't want to get stuck in complex deployments" said Cristoforo Mione, VP Marketing at Mirial. "Moreover, it provides the flexibility needed to be included in existing video communication environments."
