DyLogic and PointerCom together for Visual Communication and VoIP
Milan, 20th January 2004 - DyLogic, an Italian company specialized in the development of services and software solutions for the telecommunications world, announced today the signature of an agreement with PointerCom, an Italian company focused on the development of Carrier Class software platforms for VoIP and visual communications on IP networks.
Thanks to this agreement PointerCom will offer to all its customers DyLogic visual communication solutions, in particular the new version of Mirial software endpoint. This is the Visual Communication Software presented last December and available in release 3.0 that allows the access to all Visual Communication services via Pc and Webcam.
The continuous and growing demand for converging voice-video-data services represents an opportunity that every Carrier is taking in order to extend its own offer range, guarantee services that converge in a single access point, sell accessory products linked to telephony and visual communication services, unify important volumes of traffic and make the most of the already existent IP infrastructure.
PointerCom chose DyLogic Visual Communication solutions in order to complete its own offer thanks to the total adherence to all current standards and to the interoperability with different networks; these solutions include Mirial, a PC Videoconferencing software endpoint and PSE.VAM, a system for video answering machine services. Mirial software endpoint will be offered in an exclusive version realized for PointerCom for both Carrier and Enterprise market.
"This agreement with PointerCom is part of DyLogic strategy which has the aim of defining agreements for the worldwide distribution of its products in order to develop an international network of partners" said Cristoforo Mione, DyLogic Sales & Marketing Manager. "For a retailer of Videoconferencing solutions, offering a software solution as Mirial - that increases the number of users of Visual Communication services - means also helping the sales of network elements of greater size such as Gatekeepers, MCUs or Gateways".
"Besides its high technical ability, we chose Dylogic for its strong adherence to standard protocols of its products. This commitment is the same that has always characterized PointerCom planning lines and that produces solutions with high levels of interoperability" affirmed Emo Maracchia, PointerCom Marketing and Communication Manager. "Mirial software endpoint represents the ideal complement for our Desktop Conferencing solutions not only for Carrier but also for Enterprise market. In fact from February we will offer it also in our VIDEO COMMUNICATION SYSTEM family for the enterprise and the Public Administration market.
